Well, I don’t really like how this mani turned out. I wanted to reproduce a nail art by Nailibi on Instagram but it didn’t turn out the way I wanted lol. The colors choice is really poor I have to admit lol. I knew before I finished the nail art that it was a fail, I didn’t even bother doing straight lines which is so not me. I’m quite a perfectionist when it comes to my nails. That’s why I can easily spend hours doing them. Once I saw a flaw I can't unsee it lol.

This nail art reminds of an old one that I posted a month ago except that the lines was straight lol.

Quarantine is the perfect time to try to master techniques that fail us in the past. For me, it’s obviously the watermarble! How many times I did it and regretted it immediately ? So many times! I have to say that this try is not that bad, I’m happy with the result. It kinda gives Valentine’s day vibes.

I have an animal print nail art for you today and more specifically leopard print. I’m really not an animal print kind of girl. For example, I would never wear clothes with animal print. This is so not my style lol. But I like to do leopard print from time to time on my nails. My friend said this nail art wasn’t too much so I guess it’s fine lol. I like how this mani is sober.

So I did leopard print on my middle and ring fingernails. Then, I drew a fine line on my pointer and pinky fingernails.

Here’s my participation for this week Holo Taco competition. The theme is “Animals” so I thought that it would be a good idea to have an animal on each nail. I’m not that fan of the final result except for the dog that I find cute. I think that the eyes are what failed me haha. Also maybe blue would have been better for the base than nude.

Since yesterday was the international day against homophobia, I feel like this mani is perfect to celebrate this day. Tbh, we shouldn’t need a special day, everyday should be a LGBT rights day. We still have a long way to go and not only against homophobia but against racism and sexism and so on.

I was inspired by CelineDoesNails for this nail art. She did red stripes and added gold glitter near her cuticles. I decided to do the same thing but with mutiple colors.

CHRISTMAS NAIL ART BECAUSE WE WANT 2020 TO BE ALREADY OVER ~

I didn’t plan to do a christmas design but I realized a little too late that it was christmassy haha. Even a coworker told me that it was a christmas nail art. 

So I went for something simple, I did a gold bow as an accent nail and I did a gradient using gold glitter polish on my other fingernails.

RAINBOWS & STARS ~

This nail art is here to remind you that better days will come not now but soon lol. I love doing rainbows on my nails, it instantly makes everything cheerful. And to make this mani even more cheerful, I added my beloved stars. I hope you’re not sick of those stars because I’m not done using them. 

The inspiration behind this mani is really simple. I took the middle fingernails of my “2020 : good vides only ?” (btw, the answer to this question is “hell fucking no!!!!”) design and reproduced it on all my nails. If this doesn’t tell you how much I love rainbows, I don’t know what will lol. And I sprinkled some stars to spice things up.

Btw, I love this off-white polish from L’Oréal. I literally didn’t remember having it but now that I found it, I will put it to good use! This one is a dream to apply not like most of the nude lacquers thanks to its wide brush. Plus, the odor is not chemical like your usual nail polishes. Its formula infused with oil leaves your nails with a pleasant smell.

IT WAS AN (IM)PERFECT ILLUSION ~

Here’s my participation to this week Holo Taco competition. The theme is “Optical Illusions”. Tbh, I didn’t want to participate, the theme wasn’t really inspiring to me. My friends hype me to do it so as the easily influenced person that I am I listened to them. They sent me nail art ideas and one caught my eyes so I decided to do it on my nails. This was a picture of 3D cubes. So... I tried to do them on my nails and I won’t lie this is a fail. Since this is my friend’s idea, I’m blaming her for this fail. I mean, this is what responsible adults do, blame others for their wrong doings lol. Honestly, that was so tricky to do and it turned out shitty. I didn’t bother do it on my other hand. I literally spent so much time on my ring fingernail and for what ? lol

ALL OF THE STARS ~

I post a lot of stars nail art at the moment, I really like them lol. I’m particularly proud of this nail art. I’m just disturbed by the little star in the corner of my ring fingernail lol, I messed this one up. It looks literally like nothing. I was inspired by my phone lockscreen which says “trust you guts” (as you should!). There are stars on it so I took the same colors to recreate them on my nails. 

So, the lockdown is officially over here in France but tbh I don’t really wanna go out. I will be working from home until June so I think I’ll keep posting daily on here. I didn’t think that I would be that tired of staying at home, I’m a home person so normally it doesn’t bother me. But with this quarantine thing, I feel like I’m living the same day everyday. On the first hand, it’s tiring staying at home but on the other hand, it’s not safe going out so yeah thank you Miss Corona lol.

WHY DON’T YOU SAY SO ? ~

*Say So comes in shuffle as I’m writing this*

You probably heard the really catchy and bubbly Doja Cat’s song : Say So. I have to say that it used to be just the “tik tok song” for me, I didn’t pay much attention to it. I finally gave it a listen and before I knew it, it was on loop in my ears. 

So last week, Doja Cat dropped a remix for Say So with the help of Nicki Minaj. Honestly, I think that this song didn’t need a remix. It was perfectly fine on its own it seems like the song needs the remix to hit the #1 spot on the Hot 100. There is a tight battle between Doja’s Say So and Megan Thee Stallion’s Savage for the #1 which both got a remix. According to the last projections, Say So might win the battle. I have to say that even tho I like the Savage’s Remix better, I would be very happy if Say So hit the #1 spot. It’s a great feel good song. Honestly, sometimes I do the Say So dance like out of the blue lol, quarantine thing I guess.

As you probably get it by now, this nail art was inspired by the cover of the Say So Remix which I find very pretty and colorful. I reproduced the nail art of BadGirlNails on Instagram. I’m not quite satisfied by the final result, let’s say that I’m mixed about it lol.

I really like doing nail art inspired by music. These are probably my fave things in the world so when the 2 collide, it’s like the best of both worlds lol. I’m the girl who thinks that people who don’t listen to music are straight up psychos like wtf don’t you have no soul ? So for this nail art, I did a night sky with different moon phases. I don’t know why but I really love moon, there is something peaceful about it. I wasn’t so sure about the trees that I did but my manager said that they really look like trees so I guess they’re good lol. I feel like I’m yet to be comfortable with drawing trees a little like palm trees.

My friend sent me the post for this week theme which is Day VS Night. So here’s my take for this theme! I spend a lot of time doing my nails during this quarantine so I might as well take advantage of it and try to win some free stuff lol. This is my first nail art with grey as the base and I have to say that I like it. I feel like it makes the colors pop out. Grey is not really a color I reach for even less to use it as the base. There are first times for everything right lol.

STRIPING TAPES AND TEXTURED POLISHES ~

I’m usually not into textured polishes but I bought some from Essie and wanted to try them. I feel like textured polishes can be kind of tacky when it’s not well used but I like how this mani turned out. I already played with some textured polishes from Kiko for a gradient that I did some times ago.

So I did an accent nail using some striping tapes and I think I’m beginning to be good with them. I couldn’t resist adding a little star at the middle yeah the same star than the ones I used in my starry nail art. I’ll just sprinkle them stars like Salt Bae would sprinkle salt on meat. I think that their basic use were for decorating tables for Christmas, glad I found a cooler way to use them.

For this nail art, I did a gradient using red and black polishes. These colors really go well together for a gradient, I think. Then, I did a big gold stroke on the middle of my nails and black zig zag.
