Here’s the perfect spring nail art! It will make you want to do a picnic in a prairie. I did gingham pattern on my pointer. fingernail, cherries on my middle fingernail, bows on my ring fingernail and dots on my pinky fingernail. What better than a polish called “Be Cherry” to draw cherries lol ?

This kind of mix’n’match design is completely what I liked to do when I first started nail art. I did a similar mani some months ago but honestly that was kinda a fail especially for the gingham design. Every now and then, I love to go back to my first loves, the things I used to do when I was a newbie in the nail art world.

As you probably know (if not then I’m happy to inform you that you’re living under rock), Olivia Rodrigo dropped her debut album on Friday May 21st “Sour” and boy that album is great, especially for a debut album. It’s been a while since I enjoyed a debut album like that, the last being “Camila” by Camila Cabello (yes I’m a pop music junky). 

The lyrics are really good, some of them left me shook like who hurt you girl!!!!! (we all know who is it). My fav songs are : “brutal”, “traitor”, “drivers license”, “deja vu”, “good 4 u”, “happier” and “jealousy, jealousy”. That girl really got me missing an ex I never had lol. 

“brutal” is definitely the song I relate to the most. Even tho she’s talking about her teenage years, the lyrics are also valid for people in their twenties I think. People always talk about the fact that these years are supposed to be the best when we have it tough. Adulthood is definitely brutal lol. This song would have been my anthem when I was teenager lol.

For the nail art, I was inspired by the cover of the album and by the mural her team put together in London to promote the album. I really like the aesthetic of the album with the stickers.

QUARTER-LIFE CRISIS ? ~

25 years of being a BAD!!! (bitch), I can’t believe it lol. 25 years and 2 birthdays in quarantine, yay thanks miss Corona!! But it was pretty good anyway, friends’ gift (thank you btw if you’re reading this), a good chocolate cake with the parents and that one coworker who sings happy birthday every time you have her on the phone (working from home vibes). Honestly, it’s always the little things that make me happy. 

Like for my 24th birthday, I did number candles. Last year, I literally hated them and keep them no more than 2 days but I think I did ok this year. I’m gonna keep them a lil longer than last year lol. Yeah I tried to do them again even tho it was a completely fail last year. I’m an Aries, I never surrender lol. I should probably thanks that new nail art brush that I’m using. I can do very thin lines with it. It’s always great to see that you can still improve your craft even tho you’re doing it for quite a while.
