STAR GALAXY ~

This post is a little bit special because it’s a collab with the brand Madam Glam! Madam Glam is a gel polish brand, they contacted me weeks ago to ask me if I was down to try out some of their products. I’m a passionate nail junkie so it’s always a pleasure to try new products. Obviously, my review won’t be biased and I will give you my honest review on these products.

I had the chance to choose among their gel polishes. I chose 2 “Moon Tears” and “Dazzling Light” but they sent me more and what a luck because I wouldn’t have discovered that one polish I'm holding in the picture. I chose sparkly nail polishes.

Honestly, when I opened the package I was surprised about the beauty of the polishes. I couldn’t wait to try them out.

At the beginning I wasn’t going for a galaxy nail art. I tried something else but it doesn’t turn really great so I thought myself that these sparkly polishes would be perfect for a galaxy nail art. I first used a black base and then put random drop of “Moon Tears” and “Dazzling Light”. Once I was satisfied with the look, I applied “Cosmic Sparkle” which is a flaky polish all over my nails. As a final touch, I added some gold stars. I have to say that “Moon Tears” and “Dazzling Light” have a thick texture, it can make the application a little bit tricky.

I love complicated nail art with a lot of details but I have to say that these polishes are auto sufficient, they’re really pretty on their own so you don’t have to do a complex design to have a beautiful mani. My nails look like a nebula. This was probably the easiest galaxy mani I have ever done, I didn’t even need to use a sponge.

If you want to try the brand Madam Glam, I have a 30% off discount code for you : wellpolished30 when you check out. Just so you know, I don’t earn any commission if you use this code. It’s just a little treat for you.

BACK TO 2016 ? ~

Let me take you back to a time when things were much simpler lol... We were jamming to Rihanna’s Anti without knowing it would be her last album and One Dance was playing everywhere during summer. It was also a dark time for fashion when it was ok to wear clothes with galaxy on it. We really as a society accepted galaxy leggings... Really unforgivable lol. Aztec was also big in fashion at this time. I guess it makes sense because I was inspired by an old nail art that I found on Pinterest.

This nail art reminds me of those galaxy leggings. Let’s say it’s a homage lol or just ahead of its time since fashion is an eternal restarting.

SPACE ODDITY ~

Here’s the last non-christmas related nail art before a long time lol. So I decided to do a galaxy mani which really looks similar to the one I posted months ago. I even used the same Essie black polish than back then.

I think the secret of this nail art is in the way of create the planet. You have to mix the two colors together but not too much in order to create a marbled effect. Once you’ve done that, you just have to add some white dots and stars and voilà! Pretty simple and the result is cool. I obviously used holo because it’s just perfect for galaxy designs. I like how colorful this mani is.

This nail art was inspired by XNailsByEmyX on Instagram.

Starting next week, I’ll be back to my old schedule by posting only once a week. But I won’t post any nail art no! I will post christmas nail art lol. I don’t really have any idea at the moment but hopefully the christmas spirit will help me.

LOOK AT THE STARS, LOOK HOW THEY SHINE FOR YOU ~

I have a galaxy nails for you! I really like them. What I like is that it doesn’t involve gradient or anything which I find a little tricky for a galaxy design. Also, it’s pretty colorful and that’s not necessarily common for galaxy nails.

I already did a more classic galaxy nail art some times ago which I really like too.

Today, I take you for a trip to space! I did a galaxy nail art for today’s post. It’s the first real galaxy mani that I’ve ever done and it’s not that bad I think haha. I was afraid to fail it and that it ends up looking like nothing because I’m more at ease with doing designs with a brush than with a sponge or else.
